To our membership,
2020 was supposed to be a great year, with lots of events for the Social Club.
Comedy Night and of course the Christmas Party were booked and all set to go, then COVID restrictions prevented them from occurring. Ideas that were suggested/attempted ranged from a drive in theatre, river boat, a camp weekend, valentines ball, themed nights, the annual car rally, bowling/pool nights and even a winery/distillery tour. However, every time we were close to launching something for you to enjoy…. COVID caused us to have to pause.
The Edmonton Transit Social Club remains in strong financial shape, and when things open up after COVID-19 we'll be in great shape as an organization and will be able to offer bigger events at a lower cost to you, the member.
We made the following donations on behalf of the membership after we confirmed that there would be no Christmas Party 2020:
Edmonton Food Bank $2500.00
Meals on Wheels $2500.00

Most of our events remain booked, and are ready to proceed as soon as restrictions can be lifted.
